Sailing past the needles in full sun, calm seas and gentle breeze we had a Lovely sunny weekend in Poole catching up with some of our family. 2 toddlers, 1 determined crawling baby and a 9 year old kept us on our toes for a few hours. Still freezing outside.

The return to Lymington was a fuel based blast in a glassy calm water, which was not unpleasant. Everyday we are learning a lot about this boat and battery management is a big part. So running back to Lymington under engine with cups of hot tea and my mums fruitcake was a good thing.

Apartment living on a yacht means not putting the dishwasher or washing machine on when we think to. Leaving the radar on for two days because it’s connected to the chart plotter showing our anchor position was a learning that needed to play out as listening wasn’t an option that day. 😜🪫phone apps weren’t to be trusted apparently. The tides run strongly around here, at 1 point we had 5kn against us. Thankfully Osprey doesn’t seem to notice and just charges on.
