THE CORINTH CANAL IS CLOSED.
Discover the beauty of the Ionian Sea, Greece’s stunning islands, on a fully customizable sailing adventure tailored to your pace and interests. Due to the closure of the Corinth Canal in 2026 we have had to adjust our plans. we will now sail south around the Peloponese and connect upto to Poros in the North as the weather allows. Flexibilty is the key in these early weeks as we navigate the changeable weather and plans. sailors life is built on shifting sands.

Due to the unexpected closure of the Corinth canal we are having to reroute south around the pelopnese island, also a beautiful location but a more passage making plan than Island cruisng is expected. flexibilty in location may ned to be considered as we take into account the weather in this region.

Tunisia to The Canary Islands – August to November 2026
Late Season Sailing Programme
As the summer softens across the Mediterranean, Osprey begins her westward journey toward crossing the Atlantic. This final phase of the season blends relaxed cruising with purposeful passage-making as we position the yacht for her ocean crossing.
We’ll sail occasional overnight passages and enjoyable day cruises from Tunisia to Sardinia and Corsica, then onward through Menorca to mainland Spain. Along the way, we combine beautiful anchorages with meaningful sea miles.
Planned Route Highlights
Tunisia → Sardinia
A longer passage to open the programme, settling into offshore rhythm before enjoying Sardinia’s calm southern bays, ideal for swimming, snorkelling and relaxed evenings at anchor.
Sardinia → Corsica
Short scenic legs mixed with the option of overnight sailing. Corsica offers dramatic cliffs, turquoise anchorages and charming harbours to explore ashore.
Corsica → Menorca
A rewarding offshore leg followed by secure calas such as Cala Macarella and Cala Galdana, perfect for swimming and easy coastal day sailing.
Menorca → Mainland Spain
A final Mediterranean passage bringing us to the Spanish coast, where we will spend approximately four weeks carrying out maintenance, inspections, and preparation for the Atlantic season.
Atlantic Positioning Phase
With preparation complete, we depart Spain for a purposeful offshore passage:
Spain → Morocco
Coastal sailing transitioning into ocean miles.
Morocco → Canary Islands
A true ocean passage as we sail south-west to the trades.
Arrival in Gran Canaria by 14 November 2026
Positioning Osprey in time for final ARC preparations and Atlantic crossing readiness.
